“Shreshtam® gives you better choices. The simpler the ingredients, the easier it is to choose what's best for you and your family.”
Shreshtam started where most Kerala pickles do — in a home kitchen in Malappuram, Kerala, with recipes that were never written down.
Nothing about that has been industrialised since. The same hands sort the mangoes, work the kadai and seal the pouches, in batches small enough that a single person can taste every one.
Which is why there is no vinegar and no preservative anywhere in the range — salt, oil, chilli and sunlight do the keeping, exactly as they always have.
Those recipes now leave that kitchen as pickles, spice powders and sun-dried kondattam, including fried pickles you will rarely find on a shop shelf.

Carefully selected ingredients
From ripe mangoes to fiery chillies, every component is carefully selected to guarantee a burst of flavour in every bite.
Prepared by hand, in small batches
Each batch is prepared manually in small quantities, following traditional recipes and time-tested methods.
Work that stays in the village
The jars are made by women in Malappuram — buying one puts value on their table as well as yours.
Sealed, boxed, posted
Packed the day it is made and sent anywhere in India, roughly seven days door to door, backed by the Shreshtam® Guarantee.
How a jar is made
Four steps, all of them by hand — from the sorting table to the parcel that leaves our kitchen.
Sorted by hand
Ripe mangoes, fiery chillies, lemons and payar — the payar grown chemical-free on our own farm — sorted piece by piece before anything is cut.
Fried in gingelly oil
Varuthamanga and Varuthanaranga are fried in gingelly oil, then blended with carefully selected spices. Kadumanga is made with neither vinegar nor oil.
Dried in the sun
Kondattam — pavakka, payar, curd chilli — is spiced and left in the Kerala sun until crisp, so it fries up in seconds at your stove.
Packed the same day
Filled, weighed and sealed by hand in small quantities, then shipped across India with an estimated seven days in transit.
